PET Cyclotron

CYPRIS HM-20
HM-20MeV Medical Cyclotron
Sumitomo HM-20V cyclotron is a fixed-energy isochronous cyclotron, which accelerates negatively charged hydrogen ions (H-) to 20 MeV and (D-) to 10MeV. The total extracted beam current (target plus collimator currents) is 150 µA for proton beam and 50 µA for deuteron beam respectively. This cyclotron has a very high degree of automation built into the system. It can be equipped with up to 8 (eight) targets and various chemistry systems for labelling of the most common radioisotopes used in Positron Emission Tomography (PET) systems.
Specifications
· Accelerating Particle: Negatively charged hydrogen ions (H – ) or deuteron ions (D – )
· Energy: Proton 20 MeV / Deuteron 10 MeV
· Extracted Beam current: Proton 150 μA / Deuteron 40 μA
· Beam exit ports: Dual beam extraction2 ports (Max. 4 targets on each port) Maximum eight (8) targets are equipped.
· One (1) CRT can control Cyclotron, RI synthesis system and ancillary system. Operating parameter can be printed in hard paper as a production report and complies with GMP standard.
· Its accelerating energy is the most appropriate to produce a large amount of 18FDG and highly used radio-activity of 11C radiochemistry system. An advanced control system provides control of the cyclotron and radioisotope system. self-shield(abbreviated with S) is available as option.
